Our brief aimed to breathe new life into the much-loved, but tired, old stables building, creating a space that honors the rich history of Chatsworth while meeting the ever-changing needs of today’s consumers. Working closely with the management team, we set out to create a transformation that blends the old and the new—bringing back a sense of heritage while curating a modern shopping experience. The refurbishment was a complete overhaul, starting with a full redecoration of the building’s shell. We integrated curated pieces and crafted authentic handwritten signage that evokes the charm, warmth, and authenticity Chatsworth has been known for. Each detail, from the natural materials to the bespoke signage, reflects the timeless elegance of the estate. With the space offering such an important service to the area we programmed and delivered the entire project in the space of 2 weeks with the client only to be closed for a planned duration of 1 day. The result seamlessly connects the heritage of the Chatsworth Estate with the modern needs of today’s shoppers. The renovated Farm Shop now offers a welcoming, elegant atmosphere that captures the essence of the Peak District and its rich agricultural history. Visitors can enjoy a truly immersive experience while exploring high-quality produce that continues to carry the Chatsworth legacy forward.
