"We couldn’t be happier with the results of our new office space. The team at Hands understood exactly what we needed and delivered a modern, functional environment that perfectly suits our staff. The bespoke furniture and thoughtful design touches make the space both professional and welcoming. It’s truly transformed the way we work."
Miranda Plowden - Business Development DirectorThis project involved designing and providing custom furniture for over 200 staff members across four floors, with a focus on creating an environment that blends professionalism with warmth, community, and sustainability.
From the very beginning, our goal was to create a workspace that reflects SYHA’s mission while providing a comfortable, productive environment for their team. We worked closely with their leadership to understand the needs of their staff and the vision for the space. The result is a balanced design that integrates both functionality and aesthetics.
This office fit-out emphasizes simplicity, sustainability, and an inviting atmosphere. Key features of the space include:
Custom Desks: Over 50 bespoke desks designed specifically to cater to the needs of the team, combining functionality with a minimalist aesthetic.
Communal Tables: Large communal tables designed to promote collaboration and teamwork.
Reception Counters: Custom-built counters that welcome visitors while maintaining the professional and approachable ethos of SYHA.
Notice Boards & Peg Boards: Practical, customized boards for team communication, project tracking, and showcasing community engagement.
Reclaimed Light Fittings: A sustainable choice that adds warmth and character to the office environment.
From a disused ex-travel agents, we transformed every inch of this space in a prime location in the heart of Kensington, London.
